Large native elm has a broad vase shape canopy. Dark green, rough toothed leaves turn yellow in fall. Durable, fast growing tree that adapts to most conditions. Prefers moist soil but is also drought tolerant. Often used as a street tree and is know for its reaching branches across a road offering shade.
